It's obvious Link has a connection with animals, just look at him with Epona, or his Loftwing, heck - he even turns into a wolf! So take a step back from all the maiming and destruction and take care of some fluffy animals!
These chicken type animals are always found out of their pen, and you can use them as a redimentary flying device! You can get a bottle if you help the cucco lady in Kakariko Village (Ocarina of Time) and a Piece of Heart if you help the cucco lady in Hyrule Castle Town several times (Minish Cap). Don't attack a cucco though, as 9 out of 10 times they will call in the Cucco Revenge Squad which will kill you if you're not careful - run inside for safety!

Gentle creatures, though prone to escaping the farm, Ordon goats have replaced cows in producing dairy products, mmm Ordon goat cheese! Heard some goats in Ordon Village using Epona, if you heard 20 in three minutes you will recieve a Piece of Heart!
